Hi Mark,Sturup is a Danish place name in southern Sweden (near Malmö)
I don't know what the suffix -rup means but it is a very common place name suffix in Denmark, southern Sweden and northern Germany. The Stu- or Stur- part could be related to the first name Sture, but I'm not sure about that.Regards, Satu

The ending -rup is related to torp, "new building". Today, "torp" rather means "little house in the countryside" in Sweden. Sturup is also the name of Malmö's airport.*If you get rid of your demons, the angels will leave, too* - Joni Mitchell
