[Opinions] Kiri
wdyt of Kiri? I don't remember where I first heard this name, but I recall using it in a story I wrote when I was a kid. It's very simple, but I kind of like it. It's an alternative to Kira, Kylie, etc.

In Germany there is a cheese especially for kids that is named Kiri. And I hate the merchandising song "Kiri, Kiri, Kiri" =(
Therefore I think about this first.
Beside the cheese I can´t imagine a woman named Kiri.

I immediately thought of Kiri Te Kanawa, the opera singer. I think it's pretty but would be most practical as a nn for Kiera/ Kira.

It would be a cute nickname ... doesn't really work in my accent though. I prefer Kiera._____________________________________________________________________"Heaven's not a place that you go when you die, it's that moment in life when you actually feel alive."Elinor

I quite like it. I doubt I'd ever use it, but it is pretty.

It's got a pretty sound, and I think it would make a good nickname. Unfortunately, I ruined the name for myself about two years ago--I wrote a story about a young woman who'd gone crazy from the point of view of the voices in her head, and I named her Kiri. So I wouldn't use it myself, but it's nice sounding.Array

I can't picture it on a woman, sorry.bt

I don't care for it. It's too immature sounding to me. I don't think it would age well/suit any age. And, I don't care for Kira or Kylie.

I think it's cute but I prefer it as a nickname for Kira. If I have a daughter, we will most likely name her Kira. I'm pretty sure that I will call her Kiri sometimes.

It's cute, but I'm immediately reminded of kiwi.
