[Facts] What does Miko mean?
I have searched on a few different sites about my name, and all they can tell me is that they come from an origin of "Finish". I am not aware of such an origin, nor do I know what that means. It also gives no meaning for the name. I am just very curious, where does the name Miko come from, and what does it mean?? Thanks!

Yes, Mikko and Miko are Finnish variants of Michael. Mikko is the traditional one, while Miko (and even Mico!) have become popular during the past decade or so in the wake of the overwhelming popularity of Mikko.
Wow...i appreciate it!! Thank you!!! I was told it was Japanese...and i doubted it, but now i know...and i appreciate it greatly!! Peace!!!
Mikko is indeed a Finnish form of Michael.
Mikos or Mikkos is also an Ancient Greek name (recorded in http://www.lgpn.ox.ac.uk/) meaning "small, little" (from "Mikro-").
I have also used "Mikos" used as a nickname of Mordechai by Greek Jews.

Miko, in Japanese, means "medium", "sorceress" or "shrine maiden/priestess"
