I think Charlie did push for the name Sam, although they both agreed on it. If I'm not mistaken, Sam was named after a cat that Charlie once had. I read on another board (so I'm not sure if it's true or not) that before they split, they had decided to name the baby Charlie either way. It was after they split that Denise changed her mind and the baby's name. So, perhaps you're right & Denise did push for Lola. That would explain the two very different styles.
