[Facts] Arild
I was wondering if anyone knows the meaning of the name Arild? It's a boy's name, and of Scandinavian origin. I met a man named Arild Remmereit today, and now I'm curious. He's a great conductor. Here's his website, if you're curious: http://www.remmereit.com/Array

Danish shortened version of Arnold.
Also used in Norway, and (infrequently) in Sweden.
Sometimes appears as Arill.Trivia:
Expression "af Arilds tid", "fra Arilds dage" means something like "since time immemorial", though this probably isn't derived from the person-name as such.

additionThe expression "fra arilds tid" derives from the Old Danish word "areld" which means "prehistoric times". So it really hasn't got anything to do with the first name Arild.Satu
