What does everyone think of Lark for a girl?

Also I need some suggestions for more feminine middle names, I have Lark Beatrice at the moment ...

Edit: because I forgot to ask, what other acceptabele 'bird' names are there that you like?

My favourite names are Henry Andersen, Isaac Atticus, Miller Gabriel, Freya Jasmine, Lily Philomel, Lyra Iris and Lark Beatrice

It'd make a better middle name imo. It's quite nice though, and very unusual :-)

I do love Larkin for a girl, and I imagine Lark might become a nn for that.

Lark is ok, mostly it makes me think of Lark Voorhies, who was on "Saved by the Bell".

Lark is a pretty name. For a combo, I like Lark Alexandra. As for bird names, I like Wren. I've heard of Sparrow and Finch used, but I don't really care for those. Robin is ok but it seems too dated to me. For a boy, Drake is ok. I kind of like it.

Lark is really not a name to me. Robin or Reine (pronounce wren) are really nmsaa, but much better.

I don't care for it. While it is a feminine name, I don't think there is anything feminine about it. I find it a very unflattering. Furthermore, I don't think of it as a name, but as a word, as in a bird and a prank/joke.

I like Robin as a name for a girl.

I prefer Larkin.

I prefer Laerke, but that's just me. I think Beatrix Laerke / Lark would be pretty, but I dislike Beatrice.

I think I would need to 'test it out on family members before using it though, I can imagine it being confusing

Nope. The saying is from an older generation, its slowly dying out.

I have a friend who named her baby boy Larkin. I'm not a huge fan of non-classics, but Larkin has a neat ring to it.

I kind of like Lark. I don't think I would ever use it, but I think it could be really cool for someone else, if you know what I mean.
The only other bird names I can think of are Robin and Martin. Maybe Finch.
I think because of the strong "K" sound at the end Lark sounds best with softer mn, such as:

Lark Amelia
Lark Amanda
Lark Sophia
Lark Samantha
Lark Olivia
Lark Eva
Lark Fiona
Lark Adelaide
Lark Imogen

I did consider Finch because of Atticus Finch, but then I thought it's the guy in American Pie, no?

I dislike Lark (it sounds boyish and unpretty to me, and I don't manage to see it as a real name).

Faiga (fie-gah / fay-gah)

Linnet (but "silly" connotations in French)
