I think it's pretty. I work with a girl named Misha. She's a very nice person.

I've always liked it better on a boy, but that's because the first boy I ever had a crush on was called Misha. So I'm a little bias. If that even counts as a bias...-------------------------------------------------

I think it's kind of cute on a girl but I see it too much as a boys name (nn for Mikhail) to ever use itAlice My favourite names are Henry Andersen, Isaac Atticus, Miller Gabriel, Freya Jasmine, Lily Philomel, Lyra Iris and Lark Beatrice

I think it's really sweet. I also like the similar Sasha.Having read the BtN data on Misha, I still don't see it on a boy *at all*, and I'm usually pretty liberal that way (Ashley, Sasha and even Skye make my boys' favourites list). So yeh, definitely for a girl :-)_____________________________________________________________________"My universe is laced around your wrist; I am the bracelet you sport."Elinor

It's okay, but I personally like it better on a boy.

It's only cute as a nn for Michael on a boy to me.

I think it sounds like someone's a Mischa Barton fangirl--and since I don't like her, that makes it pretty cringe-worthy to me.Mischa and Misha both are great nicknames for Michael. Masha's a nice Russian nickname with the same sort of sound--but it's actually a girl's name.Array

I've known a Misha and Mishi (he pronounced it "me-shee") both males from Eastern Europe, so I associate the name with a male, but still like it for a female.

Mishi...If Mishi and Eastern Europe, that must be a Misi! Misi is the Hungarian nn for Mihály (Mihaly) :-)

I'm sure you're right. I never knew how it was spelled, just that it was pronounced "me-shee". He was from Slovakia.

I've only heard the name (with this spelling) on a boy, but I do find it very feminine (like Mischa, which I guess I would prefer for a girl). But, I don't care for the name, as I find it too cutesy sounding.

As a Russian major, I can only think of Misha as a boy's nn (for Mikhail.)

I can't really see Misha on a boy because I've never heard it used for a boy. I've only ever known one girl called Misha but she spelled it Mica and I think its a cute name and I prefer the spelling Misha.

I suppose Misha could be a nn for Mikhaila, but afaik it's not used like that in Russia. Therefore, I only like Misha for a boy.

I only like Misha as a nn for Michaela, I think. It's sort of like calling an Alexandra "Alex", that way.Shannon
