I've never been crazy about it on girls, but that's mostly due to a couple of Jamies I knew grewing up that were mean and bratty. :b I love it on boys, though, but only as a nn for James.
ETA: It really bothers me when girls are named Jamie and it's spelled JAIME. That's just wrong to me. It may be acceptable to most, but I just find it annoying, mostly because Jaime is also a masculine Spanish name pronounced like HYE-mee. :b
