Kate. It's my mn, but that isn't the only reason I picked it. I think it's really pretty and classic and Isabel is used quite often.

I've always loved Kate, Katie, Katherine. Cannot understand the rise in popularity of the Isabels/Isabelles etc.

Kate sounds more like a nn so i'd go for Isabel

I prefer Isabel because Kate sounds really incomplete. If it was Katherine nn Kate that would be my pick.

Kate isn't a full name to me. Every Kate I know is short for Katherine and I dislike it as a full form. Besides, it's very dull.Isabel is nicer, though I find that spelling boring, and prefer Isabelle :-)_____________________________________________________________________"My universe is laced around your wrist; I am the bracelet you sport."Elinor

KateI've just always loved the name Kate and I've never liked Isabel, I can't really determine why that is, I just do...~Lully Lulla~

Man that's hard! Both are family names for me, Kate is almost my name, and both are absolutely lovely. I can't choose. If I would give it to my daughter, I would take Kate Isabel.

Without changing any spelling, I'd choose Kate. I prefer the spelling Isabelle. Actually, Isabelle Kate flows nicely.

I love the classic Kate best, but I also love Isabel. However, Kate is the kind of name that isn't spoiled by an obnoxious person named Kate (I'd still love it). If I met one named Isabel, it might turn me off to the name.

Kate, spelt Cait. No Katherine or Katrina or any full name! It is classy, timeless, and not trendy!

I prefer Isabel (spelt Isobel) because Kate seems too plain to me.
