What do you think of the name Wesley (Westley, Wesleigh, Westleigh) for a girl?

I don't care for Wesley, Wesleigh, etc. as a girl's name. I'm not wild about it for a boy. I do kind of like Westley for a boy though. That probably doesn't make much sense about why I kind of like Westley, but I don't like Wesley. I guess it just sounds slightly better to me. I really like Weston for a boy.

I absolutley hate it for a boy so I guess it is much better on a girl. Still not great though.

I'm not going to say you *can't* use Westley/Wesley on a girl, but I will say that I much, much prefer it on a boy (spelt Westley). I suppose if you want to feminize it (I'm going to be in the doghouse for changing the spelling of an historically accepted name), you could go with Wesleigh/Westleigh (since a leigh is a meadow & that's was Westley means: a west meadow) or even Weslea/Westlea or Weslee/Westlee. Of these, if I had to choose, I'd probably go with Westleigh. At the very least, if you must use Wesley (or any variation thereof) on a girl, may I suggest you use it as a mn?

HATE Wesley for a girl, sorry! It's so masculine sounding, I can't picture it on a girl at all. Horrible for a girl.

And as for the name...
I don't like Wesley or Westley on a girl at all, but it's better for a girl than a male name that has a masculine meaning (like Mackenzie's "son of Kenneth").
In any casse, misspelling Wesley or Westley as Wesleigh or Westleigh just makes it look ultra-trendy and, well, misspelled to me. I totally fails to "feminise" the name imo.

I knew a girl named Wesley Ann and the only reason she was named Wesley was b/c it was her mother's maiden name. If it's not for that reason of passing down a surname,save it for a boy.
