are these names too over the top as a combination?

I wouldn't put them together as a set but they are both gorgeous names individually. A more "acceptable" set IMO would be Juliet and Isabella or Juliette and Isabel but whatever you choose is what goes!

I like Juliet better, it's much simpler and more elegant imo. Arabella is very pretty, I like it much better than Annabella. I don't think they're too crazy, and besides, they're beautiful names, who are you toning it down for?

I like the combo Arabella Juliette, though personally I'd go with the spelling Juliet.

Yes, I think Juliette Arabella is a bit too long and frilly. -Amy-* Edited for typo

Juliette Arabella sounds best, and it's lovely, but yes it is overly frilly imo, especially cos of the "ette" spelling. (I prefer Juliet, mostly because I stress the first syllable and not the last, which Juliette suggests I should.)_____________________________________________________________________"There are few more distressing sights than that

ArabellaArabelle/Arabella have both always reminded me of something and I just figured out what it was: the Disney character Clarabelle Cow.

I don't think they are over the top, but I don't think they fit well together, though I like both names.

I think they would work together quite nicely as sib names. I'd prefer something different to Juliette though, since Arabella is quite rare. What about Jemima, Jocelyn or Josephine?

Maybe JuliANNA and Arabella. I don't like very many names with an "ette" at the end.

I think they go ok, i think Juliette is a bit too common to go with Arabella but they dont sound hideous
