[Opinions] Bellatrix

what do you think of the name Bellatrix? I absolutely love it and am thinking of pairing it with Grace (the irish pirate queen) since Bellatrix means female warrior. What sort of images does the name Bellatrix conjure up for you? personality? etc. Thanks!Bellatrix Grace & Maeve Lysandra?Grace Bellatrix & Maeve Lysandra?

I love the name Bellatrix, esp. for its meaning, but for me, I can't seem to get the image of "female warrior". It just sounds like a rotten brat :-/. It still is a VERY nice name though

There's a great band around where I am from called Bellatrix. I think it's a really cool name.~~The brave may not live forever, but the cautious don't live at all~~

Its not my usual style but I rather like the sound of this name it is a strong sounding name to me, Feminine but not cutsey.
However it is so strongly tied to the evil Bellatrix in Harry Potter that all I can see when I think of it is an evil darkhaied murderous Madwomen - sighI would go for
Grace Bellatrix & Maeve Lysandra?

I'm not a fan of Harry Potter names, Lord of the Rings names, Star Wards names etc. I just find them much too culty. And I think a Harry Potter name would really date your daughter, since there's no way it'll be such a craze in 20 years. However, Bellatrix does have quite a cool sound. It works better as a middle name in my opinion. Something like Hannah Bellatrix, Sophia Bellatrix?_____________________________________________________________________"There are few more distressing sights than that

Unfortunately though, it's so tied to Harry Potter, that everyone would think you did, in the same way they'd think "Star Wars" if you named your son Anakin. Jmho :-)_____________________________________________________________________"There are few more distressing sights than that

I'm complitely in love with this name. It sounds and looks gorgeous, it's got a great astrological backround, and the meaning is about as wonderful as it could get. I think the name Bellatrix would belong to a intelligent, determined person who is both strong and beautiful (just like the meaning says - a female warrior). IMO, it's one of the most beautiful names in the world.

I'd use Bellatrix as a first name anytime, but I don't like the mn Grace. I think it sounds too "nice" and too overused to be combined with the name Bellatrix. I do like the combo Maeve Lysandra, though - it matches with the name Bellatrix.

I think of the Bellatrix in the Harry Potter books, and she was a real cow.-------------------------------------------------
