As Chrisell says: Bronwen and Branwen are pronounced differently - at least by Australians. But noiw Elinor has replied maybe by English and Scottish people too.
As Chrisell said - I ditto Bronwen as BRON-wen (short 'o') and Branwen as BRAN-wen (short 'a'). They are different names pronounced differently to me. Just like Aaron and Erin while I'm at it.
