[Opinions] Paris and Parris
It's official, I don't understand how my mind works! ;)
While looking at the P names (as I'm adding the P names I like to my word document of all the names I like), and I noticed something:
I dislike Paris, as I think it's weak-toned and bluntly a place name. Yet, I like Parris.
It just must be a visual thing, as I see Parris as less feminine and less of a place name when spelled this way. Mind you, this is only for a boy.

A name used now and then in my area is "Parise"-for a girl. Very pretty, I think.
I much prefer the Paris spelling, and only for a boy.
Ms. Hilton and Michael Jackson have ruined this name for me, but if I had to choose I'd say I like it better for a boy. And I agree that Parris looks much better! :b BTW, Parris Island, SC is where they send Marines for boot camp. That's one thing that it brings to mind; on one hand that makes it seem more masculine, but it's not necessarily a nice, sweet association either, though. LOL!

I agree that Parris looks much more masculine. As a boys' first name, I far prefer it to Paris.
(I don't like Paris for a girl because it reminds me of Paris Hilton ... But on a boy I just find it so poncy, and even more pretentious than it is on a girl.)

To me Paris is 100% boy and i detest it for a girl because alot of mothers who call their daughter's Paris want them to be pretty and frilly and be ballerina's (Gags). I have known a hell of a lot of those mothers.
Anyway, off my rant Parris with two rr 's looks like a disease, stick to normal Paris, anyone who's educated will know its a boys name

You'd be surprised...
"Name people" like us know it's a male name, but not many people know that. Some people I know said Orlando Bloom had a girl's name in the movie Troy, and that Paris Hilton's fiancé, Paris Latsis, has a girl's name. I think because of Paris Hilton, people see it as a feminine name.
Any to say "uneducated" people won't know this isn't nice.
