Perhaps I'm rubbing off a little on my friend, since now she's telling me about some of the names she likes. :)

Along with Zenobia, Aurora, Desdemona, Delaina, Arabella, Avaline, and Adelina for girls, and Benjamin and Towner for boys, she's added Ruby for a girl. This makes me smile, since that used to be on my Top 3 Names for Girls.

She said she could only use Ruby as a middle name since her Mother says only a hooker would have the name, so she can't use it for her child. Well, aside from the stereotyping on her Mother's part, I dislike it that my friend, who has been over the age of 18 for quite a while now, is simply agreeing with her Mother. She's not pregnant, but her Mother is already dictating to her her future children's name. On a small rant: this is just like her Mother, who has ordered my friend to only have daughters when she has children, since boys turn into men. Insanely absurd.

Towner, for a boy, would also only be used as a middle name (I'm not sure if I think Benjamin Towner flows...maybe), since she says it isn't a true name, and she said she would never use Desdemona, since it's evil sounding, but she does think it's a lovely name.

So, if I were to make a combo with Ruby as a middle name from the names she likes, I'd make Adelina Ruby.
