Dear Mom and Dad,
I wanted to let you know how Elijah and Jamie are doing. They're adjusting all right, but don't say too much. It''s going to be a rough couple of years without Henry and Jessie. We'll come and visit in a few weeks. Elijah is getting good grades in school, but his teachers are worried about him socially. I'm going to just let him have his space until he wants to deal with his parents' death. Matt, Judy, and Becca are also feeling the impact of Henry and Jesse's deaths. Matt tries to be helpful when he can, and is trying to help Elijah and keep him occupied. Judy and Becca are now sharing a bedroom with Jamie. They say she sometimes has nightmares, but Jamie doesn't say anything about them. Deirde and the younger children are kind of confused as to why their cousins live with us now. Deirdre plays with Jamie. She says she "likes to make Jamie happy". We've got such sweet children.
