Dear Mom and Dad,
I have mixed feelings in this letter. Lance's sister died last week. Her husband had died several years earlier. Since we are her closest reletives we adopted her two daughters into our family. Fifteen year old Salem October is rather stubborn. When living with her parents, it appears she had the freedom to do things like stay out late, talk on the phone non-stop, date whoever she wanted etc. We just aren't too keen on these ideas. If they are going to live under our roof, They will have to abide by our rules. Am I being to harsh? Anyway, her little sister, Jada Sapphira, is very shy. She has beautiful deep blue eyes and red hair. She is used to living in her sister's shadow, but hopefully she will come out of her shell soon. I am gratefull that both girl's agreed to be homeschooled along with our other children. It would have been difficult to divide up the family like that. Please give me some advice Mom and Dad, please, tell me if I'm being too harsh! Write me soon,
