Help[Opinions] Rocco and Savina
A relative has a son named Rocco, and their new daughter will be named Savina (prn. like Sabrina). Another relative thinks these names are quite atrocious. I cannot decide what I think. Tell me...how do you feel about these names?

Yes, they just rhyme. I wasn't sure how familiar people would be with this name or with the pronounciation. Sabrina was just the first name that came to mind. Sorry for the confusion.

I like Rocco, but I wouldn't give it to a child of my own. I like the spelling of Savina, but I don't like V pn. BR.

Rocco is different, and not for the faint of heart. But it has history and is not unheard of. We had a (very handsome) "Father What-a-Shame" at my Catholic college, so I'm used to it. The inevitable nn is Rocky.
Savina is gorgeous. I wonder what the resistance is by your relative. It's a very feminine sounding name. Perhaps because it is not widely known. I love Severina, but never heard of Savina before. It didn't take long to grab me, though.
I bet they get used to Savina faster than Rocco.
