[Opinions] Robin
Robin on a boy these days - wdyt? Especially, since Robin / Robyn is popular on girls. I think it goes extremely well with Henry and James as brothers.

I really dislike Robin on a girl, but I find it much more attractive on a boy. You're right; Henry, James, and Robin make a great set. :o)

I love the name Robin for a boy! I would probably never use it IRL though, because the name has already been used in my family (on a female).

I don't think it goes that well with Henry or James, but I like Robin. Where I live Robin-on-a-girl is nearly always spelt Robyn anyway. On a boy it reminds me of Christopher Robin which is cute, maybe verging on cutesy.

I like it.I like Robin almost equally on either sex, though I slightly prefer it as a male nickname for Robert. Still, independent of Robert, I think it's a great name. I think it would go well in that sibset, too.

I love it. I actually prefer Robin on a boy.

Love it and since the popularity of Robin (at least in my area) is on the decline for both genders, I think it would make a really fresh and interesting name. You'd also have the option of using the more common / traditionally male Rob as a nn, too.

Not a fan at all of Robin, sorry. Just kinda says nothing to me. Also, I don't think it fits with the sibset.
I much rather see Henry, James and Charles or something along those line.

I like a lot, especially with Henry.

If I had a son, and our surname wasn't what it is, I'd very likely name him Robin.Henry and James, though, are really nms. They go with Robin okay, but Robin also fits other styles that Henry and James do not.

Thumbs upI love it. I really dig the association with Robin Hood.I know two male Robins right now. One is my landlord and in his fifties, and the other is a classmate and in his 20s. The name suits both of them fine. I also know two female Robins. One is the daughter of my landlord and she goes by Robbie. She's around 11 years old. The other is a woman who actually spells it Robyn. I don't think of Robin as popular. I can't remember seeing that on anyone's favorite list here at all, nor do I recall seeing any recent announcements. It's actually not even in the top 1000 at the social security page. Last year it ranked at all was 2004.

I really like Robin as a boys name (better than as a girls name actually). I think it goes okay with Henry and James.

Henry and James together almost always amuses me just because of the author Henry James. Brilliant but odd man. :)I don't care for Robin, but then, I never really have. I think a boy could work it, but I don't see the point. It's just unappealing to me. Sorry. Also, to be honest, it doesn't really feel like Henry or James to me.+ I do like Bear's suggestion (as usual) about using it as a NN for Robert. Robert, Henry, and James do go well together.

I'm more for Robin on a girl only type of person. I do think Robin could work on a boy though.

Robin on a boy would be terrific. I can definitely see it. Traditionally, it's a nn for Robert, but I can see it stand on its own too. Henry, James (Jamie) and Robert (Robin)?

Henry, James and Robin all sound very English to me. I would much rather see Robert on a boy. I just don't like Robin, it's not a terrible name but I prefer it on a girl. You don't see it on little kids much these days though.
