Maren, actually. But out of the two, Marin definitely looks better.

Maren for me. Marin is a county in California to me, and it's pronounced with stress on the second syllable: muh-RIN. Merryn looks too LOTR to me. Merrin would be nice.

Both Merryn and Marin are male to me, Merryn is a male Cornish name. I prefer Maren for a girl, Maren Penelope or Penelope Maren would be great.

I like them both, though I prefer the spelling Maren. I knew a Canadian student in first year who spelt in Mairin in pronounced it MEH-rin. Her parents presumably saw Irish Gaelic Mairin in a baby name book and didn't know / didn't care how it's actually pronounced :-/Merryn Penelope gets my vote, it is gorgeous.

Definitely Marin. I have to say I really don't like Penelope, though.

Could I suggest Maren? I guess most people won't know the difference anyway, but Marin is a masculine name, so I wouldn't want to use it for a girl. I prefer the simpler spellings over Merryn, though.Marin/Maren Penelope is gorgeous!
