[Opinions] Emmet, Elliot, Solomon & Ike
WDYTO...Emmet - also, one T or two?
Elliot - also, one T or two?
Solomon
Ike - also, do you think this could function as a given name or it is nn-only material?

Emmet is nice enough, but not a favorite. I like it with one t. Elliot is, again, nice, but not a favorite. I love Solomon and Ike! Two of my favorite names. I don't like Isaac, though, so I was trying to think of names that Ike could be derived from (and I asked once on the board if you want to do a search). I can't remember the responses. I think it can stand on its own, but not in my family since both my sons have longer first names with short nicknames.

Emmett- It's okay. I'd spell it with two t's.
Elliot- Also okay. I'd just use one t since it already has the double l's.
Solomon- Nice but I think I'd rather see it as mn.
Ike- Dislike it and only see it as a nn.

I love Emmett and Elliott. Both with two T's. I don't care for Solomon, and Ike is too nicknamey for a full name IMO.Nicole

I love Ike and Elliot (prefer Eliot).as for spellings, personally I like the simplest legitimate spelling. so for me that would be Emmet and Eliot.not wild about Solomon, but it's a good name.I think Ike could definitely function as as fn.Luxiana

I love Emmett and Elliott. I like Elliot, too, but I just prefer both names with double T's for some reason. :) I really like Solomon, too. Ike is ok, but I prefer Isaac and without a nn. I prefer it as a nn instead of a formal name, but I don't think it would be horrible as a given name by any means.

I like:Emmet - one T
Elliot - one T, and preferably one L as well: EliotSolomon is cool but it reminds me very much of 'solemn'I do not think Ike functions as a full name at all. It's fine for Isaac, though if I had an Isaac, I'd just call him Isaac.

Emmett - prefer with two. Not something I'd choose, but nice enough.
Elliot - Too SVU for me. :-/ Unforunate, too. (Btw, am I the only one bothered by the usage of Elliot for a cop like that? I sincerely doubt his parents would have used such a name!)
Solomon - I love, but the connotations of the name are too much for my religious tastes.
Ike - My nephew. I think it's fine, as long as you give him a good, solid middle name.

Emmet - also, one T or two? Cute, but only spelled Emmitt
Elliot - also, one T or two? I am really sorry, but I really dislike this name. It reminds me of Idiot for some reason. If you choose to use this though....I like it spelled just the way you spelled it.
Solomon-It's allright
Ike - also, do you think this could function as a given name or it is nn-only material? I like Ike. I would only use it as a nn for Isaac. I have always loved this name though.
