I don't shorten people's names unless I'm told to - I know many people do - but I'd have thought Andi was more likely than Anne. And I don't think Andromeda is familiar enough to come with an inbuilt nickname. Since she'd be the only Andromeda people ever met, there'd be no convention of shortening it. People call Joshua's Josh because it's just what they're used to.
Even before I consciously knew the meaning, I thought Andromeda sounded evil ... like a baddie is a Disney film ... so I don't like it. Sorry.
ETA: Ignore the bit about the meaning. I was thinking of Antigone. I maintain that Andromeda sounds a bit devillish though.
