Elian is originally from the Dominican Republic. His mom was a native of the country, and his dad was an American soldier stationed there. Eli followed his father Theodore's footsteps and is an officer in the Navy.
I am originally from Great Britain, but I moved to the States when I was young. I traveled often as a child because of my mother's job of an author. She found inspiration in new, exotic places.
I cannot believe I am married to the man of my dreams! I met Elian a year ago when I was living in Brazil. Eli was stationed there for his job in the Navy at the time. We hit it off immediately--I knew he was the one.
Our wedding was small and romantic, by a waterfall in Brazil were we met. There were only about 100 people there. My dress was elegant and slim. I carried a tropical bouquet full of bright native flowers.
We have moved into our first house... and it is not in Brazil! We are now stationed in Chicago in the States for the Navy job of Elian. It is very odd--so steel and skyscrapery. We are living in a loft right now, and it is very nice. It is decorated in a cozy, eccentric way with lots of photographs I took. I am a magazine journalist for the National Geographic, and I take a lot of photos. I love my job.
