[Opinions] Kerensa?
WDYT to Kerensa / Kerenza? I met a little girl with this name at work today, and although I've heard it before, this time I just fell in love (no pun intended, lol!) with the name, maybe with Kay or Kenza as a nn.

I really like the name Kerensa (my family are all from Cornwall) Kensa / Kenza is actually another Cornish name which means 'first' but I suppose it could be used as a nn

I think it's very lovely. I do prefer the Kerensa spelling. Kaye, Kenza, Keren, Keri, Kena, Eren...there's also a whole lotta nn potential there! :o)

Its one of the most beautiful names ever.
Actually, Kensa means 'first' in cornish and is used as a name, so you'd be making another cornish name out of kerensa, oddly. There are no z's in cornish, so an s would be the most authentic spelling.

I like it...but then, I'm partial. My father-in-law is Cornish.

I think it's fun, sweet, and spunky. The first time I heard it was on the message board and someone (I can't remember who off the top of my head, sorry) suggested Josephine Kerenza, which I love!
I like Kenza as a nn, but not Kay or Keri.

I responded to another post earlier, or maybe it was yesterday, idk saying that I didn't really like Kerensa, but I looked it up and said it a few more times and now I do. I like the s better than the z. So, yeah, Kerensa, I wouldn't use it, but I'm starting to like it.

Her nn could be Kera as well.

It's not too bad. I agree that Kay and Kenza would make good nicknames. I prefer the spelling Kerensa.

There used to be a woman on "Time Team" named Carenza - that's the first time I heard it. I think I prefer that spelling or Karenza. It just seems more natural, despite the fact that I hate Karen and would normally want to avoid any association with it ;-) However you spell it, it's a lovely and unusual name. I like Kenza, though I don't think it needs or benefits from a nickname.
