I like Axel, but do to the Axl Rose association, I would only use it as a middle name.I do not, however, like Ryan Axel. I dislike Ryan with a passion that most would not understand. I find it to be lacking and common. You do, I think, have the right idea with Axel as a middle name. ;)

I like Axel ever since i read a biography on Marie Antoinette and Axel Ferson was a man she loved and supposedly had an affair with but anyways, i prefer Ferson to Axel but i do like it. i think Axel Barnaby sounds sweet or Axel William sounds more masculineAxel Jude is also nice Ryan Axel is okay but i don't think Ryan really fits the name, it seems a little dull next to Axel, Axel Ryan would be better but i'd still suggest not using Ryan with AxelHope this helps

Axel is a VERY common name in Sweden and Axel Ferson was Swedish but here he's known as Axel von Fersen. Anyway since it is such a common name I don't associate it with Axl Rose (or a mechanical part.) It is also seen as a kind of classy name here.

Its not really my style. I loved Guns and Roses but Axel Rose, the lead singer, was an asshole so I always associate the name with him. I agree with Marilee, its probably better as a mn. I don't like the combo Ryan Axel, because both names only have two syllables and four letters, it just doesn't work for me. Its too choppy, imo. Some fn suggestions:Adrian
Benedict
Christian
Everett
Kallias
Lucius
Logan
Phineas
Phoenix
River
Roman
Rowan
Octavian
Samson
Shiloh
Solomon
Sterling
Tristan

Axl RoseThat's all I can think of when I see the name. Guns n' Roses. For that reason, I think it makes a much better middle name than a first name.
