I don't like the look or sound of it. I think Alancia would be better but it still sounds like a Spanish town or something. (Sorry) Is this a "real" name or is it created?

Andalucia & Valencia come to mind. If you would tell me it's a town in Spain, I'd believe you. Alancia would be prettier I think. As Allancia it looks like parents Allan and Alicia wanted to combind their names..

Allansia is a country in a fantasy novel I once read.I doubt that'd be the commonest association (I doubt anyone else has read the book since) but it does point up the two main problems a kid called Allancia might have: it looks like a place name, and it looks made-up.

Sounds made-up and like the name of a possible prescription drug that hasn't yet been thought of. :b

I kind of like it, if it's a femme form of Allan and is pronounced Allan-SEE-a.But it does have a sort of scientific-terminess about it. Reminds me of allantoin and placenta. I can see the "prescription drug" thing too, but that applies to tons of femme names now that the drug industry is marketing its products using names for people (like Allegra) or names that could be for people. I say whatever to that.
