I love Eliza, and think that it could definately stand on its own. I prefer it over Elizabeth, actually. It is one of those names I find to be elegant and bold all at the same time.
Peter on a girl is awful. Rose, though, is lovely. At least she has a nice, feminine mn to fall back on.
