[Opinions] Reyna
WDYT of the name Reyna / Reina? Which spelling do you like better? And does it bring any stereotypes to mind? I really want to hear everything you have on this one. Ive been going back and forth about it, its been in my head for a few weeks now. I do have some hang ups about it though, so I want to see if my hang ups come across to the general public or not.TIA!-Tate

If your hang-ups are in its meaning, Rena is a similar alternative with a less imposing meaning, and it's very uncommon.Raina is my favorite spelling of it, even though it's not really the correct one. It's pretty, but it is a bit imposing.

I love the name Reyna, though I prefer it as a middle name. Raina and Reina are my preferred spellings, but I think Reyna and Rayna could grow on me, as well.

I love the name, but much prefer the spelling Raina. Of those, I'd pick Reina since it looks less tryndeigh.I don't have any stereotypes for the name since it's so uncommon.

I like Reyna, and I don't have any stereotypes for this name. I think it has a nice sound, but must say the meaning is too frilly for my taste and if you live with Spanish speaking communities nearby, at school she might get some teasing for her name. It's almost like naming your child Queenie, which is a bit tacky imo.

I like the sound and meaning of Reyna. I would go with Reyna spelling as Reina reminds me of reindeer.

I used to love Reina. In my early teens, I would start stories just so I could name the characters, and one of my big things was to give them names that weren't necessarily "normal" given names but rather names reflective of characteristics I wanted them to have. So, my kidnapped Spanish princess was named Reina (I think I actually had her full name as Lareina..haha) because I wanted something reflective of her royalty.I think it's a pretty name, all in all. I'd be interested to hear your hang-up about it, because sometimes you don't even realize certain things until someone else verbalizes their own hesitations.
