I love Imogen but that extra 'E' on the end doesn't endear me to the name and neither doesn't the pronunciation 'emma-jean'.
I think of Imogen(e) as one of those retro-chic names that I hope parents start using. Yes, it's old, but certainly usable. That said, I do think that it will age well.
It could work as either a first or middle name.
