Hi, my name is Evelyn Hannah-Grace but most everyone calls me Gracie. I am a young author living in the hill country of Texas. I have had a troublesome childhood and that is where I find a lot of inspiration for my novel writting. I have had one book published--"In the Arms of Jesus" and several short stories of inspirational work in some magazines. I am working on a new novel but I keep day dreaming about who God has intended for me to marry and love and have a huge brood of kids with. I was the youngest of 12 kids,,,8 boys and us 4 girls. My mother Mary-Catherine and my father Patrick raised me to love the Lord and respect the family. I have been babied my entire life so I choose to live in the country where I can do things on my own with out big brothers doing it for me. I am a Christian gal and have started attending the little town church about a mile from my home. I have taken a liking to the childrens/youth pastor... I have not formally met him so I dont even know his name... I am a shy gal and reserved, my hobbies include: reading, gardening, horseback riding, painting and my writting of course, and I dabble in gormet cooking on occasion but mostly I love good down home, rib sticking foods!! It is a glorious afternoon and I am off to sit in the garden and read a good book!

A chapter in my life has started and also ended. I met the childrens/youth pastor Jeffery Kade who is 28 yrs old. Jeffery is a striking man with dark brown almost black hair and his eyes are so green I could almost swear they were emeralds in disguise! He is a mountain of a man standing at 6ft 5inches and that makes me look like a child myself at only 5ft and 2inches...LOL... He is a loving and endearing man with well placed virtues and morals. We met under a huge oak tree in the back of the church during a town picnic. Sounds like a page right out of a romance novel doesn't it! He told me he had to confess to me that he had been "eyeing" me for almost 2 months and finally gathered up the courage to say hello. We started dating that week, God took us fast and we married less than 6 months into our relationship, because of our faith we did not live together or sleep with one another until we were wed. It was a beautiful ceremony, the date in emblazened upon my wedding band and heart for eternity. October 2, what a lovely day that was, the trees were a brillant orange and red with some dusty yellow mixed in. Both families attended, and I have to say it was almost fair in the mix, his parents had 15 kids and he is 3rd from the youngest so that makes him number 12 also ... sound familar... I am the baby of 12 so I am number 12... God does work in mysterious ways. Just 5weeks after our wedding night I began to show signs of morning sickness!! I went to the doctor and indeed was told some heavenly news we were pregnant with our first child. A couple of months passed and we had our ultrasound to determine the sex of the child,,, although I wanted to be surprised .. Jeff wanted to know so he did not pick the wrong color for the nursery he was building adjacent to our room. The picture showed us a very proud little boy! We took no time at all about telling everyone in our families and church it was to be a boy.
It was a cool morning in September ,,, the 12th,, the sun was rising to meet the day and then the pains started! Jeff was cool and calm as I was as expected, loud and telling him to hurry before the baby comes. Well we did not make it to the doctor's office, as I came from the bathroom with robe in hand I collapsed to the floor and yelled for Jeff and he came running as always. He helped me to our bed, the very bed we made this child in and there I pushed three good times and out came our beautiful, dark haired green eyed Brendan Isaias!
That is a tale in itself and I always get teary eyed when I tell others about how my now 1yr old angel came into our lives and the lives of the families of Jones and Harwick. He is the beginning of our brood to come. Jeff and I want atleast one adopted child though so we can bring some happiness to another who is not so fortunate. And we have decided to home school our kids and at least one of their names shall be a Biblical name.
