[Opinions] Julia
I've been sort of ambivalent about feminine Jul- names for a while, but I'm going through a huge, huge Beatles phase right now, and the name has gained immense appeal to me now.WDYT and combo suggestions?

I love Julia, it's been quite popular in my area for awhile (New England). It's my daughter's middle name. My husband's grandmother was always called Jean but was christened Julia, so I compromised with him as I am not a fan of Jean. I love it because it is feminine and old-fashioned!Julie is too 70s for me, and Juliana is too much of a mouthful for me.

Where I live, it's nearly always Julie, not as a nick-name, but the given name.

It's always been in my top ten, usually in the top two, favorites. It's The Perfect Name imo, except that I've found people seem to perceive it as stuckup.

I used to have a really bad association with the name and strongly disliked it. I've recently really warmed to it despite this, though I'm still not sure I'd use it. I adore the song by the Beatles, I think Julia was the name of John's mother and that makes the song more touching for me.Combos

Julia and Chloe are the two names that remain on my list despite their popularity. I don't think I'd use Julia for that reason, but I do think it's a wonderful gorgeous name.

For some reason I really dislike the name Julia although I simply love the male variant Julian. I really prefer Julianna, Juliet or Julienne/Julianne for a girl, but I can certainly appreciate the Beatles phase. A lot of respectable names can be taken from Beatles songs. Lucy immediately comes to mind.

It's one of my favorite names: not too complicates but classy. The only combos I can think of are:
Julia Helen
Julia Katherine (or any other spelling)
Julia Eleanor
Julia Anne

I really like it. I never used to, I prefered Juliana and Juliet but Julia I like best now. Comes from reading a lot of Jane Austen I think, I see it as a very Austenian name for some reason.Combos (just going with the flow, I apologise if they're not your style).

Julia is one of those names I think I should like (along with Victoria, Andrew, etc) that I just don't. I think Juliet is pretty, though.

I love Julia! And the Beatles! Beatles also made me start liking Astrid, Winston, Paul, Eleanor, and Julian. (Rita for a while, too, but that's gone.)Julia Frances and Julia Persephone spring to mind, although you probably don't want to disturb your existing combos. From your list:
