It's a very common last name where I live, pages of them in the phone-book. And as you say, it's Tee-bo.

I don't mind it but I think there will be a lot of confusion regarding the pronunciation. I knew a Thibault and it was pronounced tee-boe.

I pronounce it "Tuh-bolt" although I don't think that's the formal pronunciation of the name.

Okay, I've just seen it Tie-bo as a last name so I wasn't certain.
I like it pronounced similar to the way you prn it I say Ti-bult, like the character in ROmeo and JUliet, and it is very cool. I would only use it as a mn though.
