[Opinions] Mary, Marie, Maria
Which do you prefer? I used to think this name was really boring, but it's fallen out of use to a great extent it's almost entering the "unusual but traditional" category. Maria in particular could be considered a classy, international name.

I love each, but I plan to use Maria.

Of the three, Maria is definitely my favorite as a first name or a middle name. I like Marie only as a middle name, and though Mary is also pretty, it isn't a favorite of mine.

I like them all. My dd has two friends named Marie and Mary which is really refreshing. Still, my favorite is Maria.

Mary is my favorite but then again I'm an English speaker and I'm Catholic so that would have an effect.

I like them all but Mary is my favorite.

I like Maria best. I could see it on anyone whereas I know hundreds of elderly ladies with the name Mary and its a bit harder to imagine a newborn baby named Mary. I like Mary but I wouldn't ever consider using it as a fn.

I prefer Maria. It's very common in many countries, including in Finland (though here it's more common as mn). But it's still nice and elegant name.Marie is also very pretty, but I don't like Mary.

I prefer Maria. I also like Mary as a nn for Marigold, although I suspect not many other people do.

I guess it depends on where you live.
In Sweden ( where I live ) Maria is one of the most boring, standard names ever. Maria and Anna. It just does not get more unoriginal and no personality than that.
Marie is a little less common in my generation, but very common none the less.
Mary strikes me as a really classy choice for a girl in an English speaking country. It's one of those names which can never be trendy and then outdated, which doesn't automatically make it a great name, but I would love it if I met a baby Mary today.
