[Opinions] WDYT of Diana?
It's a name that I don't hear mentioned all that often anymore. Both Diane and Diana are family names for me. And Diane is my sister's mn. It's also kind of special for me because it's a name that my mom happened to love. It's really growing on me, I don't know if I'd ever use it as a first name (I have others I like more) but I could see it possibly making it's way into my top 10.What do you think of the combo Diana Maria? Or Diana Mary? Another one, Diana Michelle? All three middle names are family names or variations of.
Thanks,JamieEdit: Added the last combo.

I think Diana is a beautiful name -- underused, and yet everyone knows it has a long history and is a real classic.I don't hate Diane, but I think it pales in comparison to Diana. To me, Diane is the woman-next-door, and slightly dated. Diana is elegant, timeless and just prettier. So, Diana gets my vote :-)(The one thing, is that most people will associate Diana with the late princess. I have nothing against her -- I'm sure she was far nicer than most of the royals -- but she was assigned this saintly status that irks me a little bit.)

I really like Diana, but not Diane (it sounds too harsh to me). I would pair it with something very feminine and classic, like:Diana Josephine
Diana Camille
Diana Madeleine

I hear Diana far too often but don't hear Diane much at all. Diana is the 90th most popular name in the US, and Diane is the 904th most popular name in the US. Kind of strange since they are so close. I actually like Diane a bit more than Diana but they both are a little too normal for my tastes. I like Diana Michelle the most out of those.---------------------------------------------------------------------

I love Diana, an old Roman name.I think Diana Michelle flows best. I also think Diana Marie would flow better than both Diana Maria and Diana Mary.

I love Diana Mary. That's gorgeous. I think both names are lovely and they sound good together. The other's I don't care for.

I like both Diana and Diane - I think they're both great names. I only know two Dianas (both in their 20s), but no Dianes. I like Diana Mary and Diana Michelle.
