[Opinions] WDYT of Diana?
It's a name that I don't hear mentioned all that often anymore. Both Diane and Diana are family names for me. And Diane is my sister's mn.
It's also kind of special for me because it's a name that my mom happened to love. It's really growing on me, I don't know if I'd ever use it as a first name (I have others I like more) but I could see it possibly making it's way into my top 10.
What do you think of the combo Diana Maria? Or Diana Mary? Another one, Diana Michelle? All three middle names are family names or variations of.
Thanks,
Jamie
Edit: Added the last combo.

I think Diana is a beautiful name -- underused, and yet everyone knows it has a long history and is a real classic.
I don't hate Diane, but I think it pales in comparison to Diana. To me, Diane is the woman-next-door, and slightly dated. Diana is elegant, timeless and just prettier.
So, Diana gets my vote :-)
(The one thing, is that most people will associate Diana with the late princess. I have nothing against her -- I'm sure she was far nicer than most of the royals -- but she was assigned this saintly status that irks me a little bit.)

beautiful...I love it and would use it but it has a bad association for me
I hear Diana far too often but don't hear Diane much at all. Diana is the 90th most popular name in the US, and Diane is the 904th most popular name in the US. Kind of strange since they are so close. I actually like Diane a bit more than Diana but they both are a little too normal for my tastes. I like Diana Michelle the most out of those.
