[Opinions] Emilia?
I'm trying to find the perfect MN for Esme, and someone suggested Emilia. I recently read a book where one of the main character's sister was named Emilia. I think it's a gorgeous name, and I think Esme Emilia sounds beautiful. (Yes, I understand that Esmee is the standard feminine version of the name, but it doesn't look right to me.)
Now for my question: Is Emilia too close to Emily? Depsite Emily's popularity, I think it's a pretty name. Could it work as a MN?

I love Emilia. I don't like Amelia for some reason, even though I pronounce them the same. I think I like Emilia's connection ot ancient Rome.
Even though they share the same root, the sound of Emily and Emilia are so different that they don't seem similar. If you are worried about popularity, however, you should be aware that Amelia is climbing the charts quickly. That would be more of a concern to me if I were you. Then again, if this is for a mn, why worry? Go right ahead.
Esme Emilia has a cool, sophisticated vibe. Love it.

I am excited! I suggested Esme Emilia. I do think that Emilia is close to Emily, but it is closer to Amelia. I think that Emilia may become popular though, considering the rising popularity of E names such as Eve, Evangeline, Elena, etc.
I suppose I can't really tell you if it could work as a mn, considering I suggested it, but I think it would work despite the alliteration of possible popularity.
