[Opinions] I'm pronouncing it MIR-een
Mir like in Mira. It's a bit uncomfy for me to say, which is why I'm liking Mirena a bit better (though it's so close to Marina)ma-REET is how I'm pronuncing Marit. It actually sounds better to me, but that might be because of my accent - which is slightly Midwestern. Scandivian names tend to work better with me than others.

I like Marit, and I'm pronouncing it the same way you are. Miren is a little clunky. It 'looks' a little too much like the male name Myron, but I also want to prn. it as MEER-en. Not a bad name, though.
