I believe Ayelet is actually pronounced eye-eh-LET, but it could be eye-EH-let. Either way, I really dislike it. I find it unattractive and way too close to eyelet.
Elendu is, in my book, a made up name and I really don't like it. The related meanings are lovely, though.
ETA: Also, Ayelet does not mean "morning star". It means "gazelle" or "hind". The phrase "'ayelet hashachar", literally meaning "gazelle of dawn", is the name of a morning star.
