My given name is Jocelyn, but I go by the nickname Joey. I've never really had any problems with it, other than people assuming my full name is Joanna or Josephine.
I go by the nn Jo. (My initials are J.O.) Otherwise, ditto your comment about the only issue is that people assume my name is Josephine or Joanna... usually Joanna for some reason.
