[Opinions] Opinions on Jacoby?
Pronounced "JACK-oh-bee", with Jack as a nickname. Or, do you prefer it pronounced "JAKE-oh-bee", with Jake as a nickname? Do you like them both? Or maybe you don't like either of them? Tell me what you think! Here are some combos I came up with; any suggestions would be great.Jacoby William
Jacoby Nicholas
Jacoby Joshua
Jacoby Nathaniel
Jacoby Adam
Jacoby Reid
Jacoby Lachlan
Jacoby Ryan
Jacoby Spencer

It reminds me of the singer...(m)Jacobi (sp?) from Papa Roach. His name is pronounce Juh-coh-bee. I really dislike the pronunciations you mentions. Jack-o-bee makes me think of "Jacking a bee" which if you know a little something about American slang, that is not a good thing. Jake-o-bee is not as bad, but it has a wierd sound to me.
Looking at the combos you gave, and using the Juh-coh-bee pronunciation, these are the ones that I like:Jacoby William
Jacoby Nathaniel
Jacoby Reid
Jacoby Ryan (although I am not a fan of Ryan)

Love itI ♥ this name a lot!
I like both JACK-oh-bee and JAKE-oh-bee (ja-COH-bee is also fine), but the nns Jack and Jake are less interesting (even though I like them)My favorite combo from your list is Jacoby Ryan.

I agree with another poster. I would pronounce is jah-COH-bee. Overall I prefer basic Jacob with the nn Jake. Of your combos I like Jacoby Nathaniel.

I really like it, but only pronounced jah-COH-bee with no nickname. This is also the name of my basketball coach's son (he's about 8 I think). My favorite combo for it is probably Jacoby William, but I also like Jacoby Matthew and Jacoby Stephen.

i like it spelled Jacobi and pronounced either Jack-oh-bee or Jah-coh-beeJacobi Patrick is my fave combo. Which pronunciation sounds better in this combo?

Jacoby & Meyers or something like that is a law firm around here. That's what I think of first. They pronounce it jah-COH-bee, in the commercial at least. Also, I think of Will Ferrell's character in Zoolander, Jacobim, but I doubt many people will have either of those associations. :)All of your combos are nice, but Jacoby William and Jacoby Adam stood out to me, particularly the latter.

Jacoby (which I've only ever heard as jah-COE-bee) is a surname, imo. And often when it is used as a fn, from what I've seen, it seems to be because it's a mix up Jacob, Jack, and Coby or Kobe, as I've seen it spelled Jakobie, Jackobe, etc. Eesh. So it just rubs me the wrong way, unless it's a family name or something. Honestly.

I've heard this name in the past as juh-KOH-bee and that's how I default to pronouncing it. Of your combos I like Jacoby Spencer the most.

I'm not a fan of either, actually. If you like the name Jack, and plan to call him Jack, I would just name him Jack :) Maybe it's the Y ending, but Jacoby seems feminine to me.

I prefer Jacob.

I'd pronounce it JAKE-oh-bee, but I like jah-KOH-bee too. I like Jacoby William, Jacoby Reid, and Jacoby Spencer the best with the first pronunciation. I like Jacoby William, Jacoby Reid, and Jacoby Ryan the best with the second pronunciation.

I like JACK-oh-bee and juh-COH-bee. JAKE-oh-bee sounds wrong to my ears. And Jack as a nickname is such a yawn--Jacoby in full is leagues more interesting.Of your list, I like best Jacoby Nathaniel pronounced juh-COH-bee and Jacoby Reid prn. JACK-oh-bee. The others are fine, but they aren't jumping out at me.Array

I would have pronounced it juh-COH-bee. I've heard of this on a girl, and spelled Jacobi. I think I like it, and it could work for either gender.
