[Opinions] Weird twin names
My first crazy twin name encounter!Today at softball, there was a pair of twins on the other team: Daria and Darian.My two cents:
Daria = Fine.
Darian = Fine for a boy.
Daria + Darian = Bad twinset either way!

I have a theorythat is: when somebody finds out they're having twins, they get overwhelmed with "Twins! So cute!"-ness and it messes up with their logical abilities.
Only a minority manages to retain some common sense.

I agree with you :)

Any names that share the first 2 plus letters are a no go for twins IMHO. I can tolerate first letters for twins (even though it is not my thing, but it is okay for regular sibs for me so I give in), but anything more than that is just BLAH. Creativity and differences can be a good thing...

I completely agree with you...Daria and Darian are WAAAAAAAY too close. The parents probably thought they were being clever, too...BTW, this is completely OT, but I adore your sig, Tuesday!! It's hysterical! :)

Thanks! :DI was watching some comedian who I'd never heard of before (and his name escapes me now...). I heard that joke and was like, "I have to put that somewhere. =P

Ugh, yes I hate when parents do that. It's like having twins and naming them Michael and Michaela.

Actually, my mom knew twins named Michael and Michelle when she was growing up...
ETA: And twins named John and Joan... *rolls eyes*
