I would've said it like you did - much like audacious without the us.
I don't feel bad about incorrect pronunciation, but I do feel impatient with people who get their feelings hurt when I have to have a name repeated -- don't they want me to want to say it right? Duh.
Adaycia: not my thing, spellingwise or soundwise. The sound isn't awful but the spelling leaves a lot to be desired. I feel sort of sorry for the woman who isn't happy with how she spelled it.

I didn't even think about "audacious". I guess it's better she doesn't pronounce it like it's spelled, because then the possessive of her name (Adaycia's) would always sound like "audacious". :-/
