Sure, if you love the name and the cat is not alive anymore.
My father had a toy when he was small, Peter the Penguin. My brother was named Peter because my father still loved the name all those years later. I'm sure his family remembered the funny little plastic bird he used to play with, but it never affected my brother.
I realize less time has elapsed in your situation, but I bet once you bring little Sabrina home from the hospital no one will say anything about a cat. (Although I wouldn't advise using Catherine as a mn . . . .)
