i think Margaret is a pretty name, but if you don't i understand that.
Going to Margot would be pretty much akin to a whole name change, imo. They are very different in feel. But, if you like it, go for it. It may take some getting used to. i like the name Margot a lot, but i much prefer the Margaux spelling.
If you're really considering a big change, what about Greta? Still means Margaret. :)
