[Facts] Annunziata
Anybody an expert on Italian/Catholic names? A name that's been on my mind lately is the female name Annunziata (and its variant Annunciata). The name is obviously Italian and related to the Annunciation of Mary, or Annunziata, celebrated on 25 March. My question is: how popular is Annunziata outside Italy? Is it used by other than devoted Roman Catholics? How about Annunciata? Here in Finland, two females have been named Annunziata in the past 100 years. One of them is the daughter of the renowned architect Alvar Aalto.
TIA,
