Message: "Marysia" - Behind the Name

I met a little girl at a christening party who had this name written on her hair band. The girl was about 5 and her mother pronounced it Ma-REE-sha. I think it's quite pretty. The spelling reminds me of something that I can't quite think of... WDYT?

I hate the spelling. I love them name Marisia, but I'm biased as I know someone with that name. It's pronounced "Mar-ee-see-ah".

When I saw it I first thought it said Malaysia.

Ma-REE-sha doesn't appeal to me at all.
