Help[Opinions] Jewish sibset from Starbucks today
Was sitting with Sophia avoiding the rain in Starbucks waiting until it was time to go pick up Nicholas from summer camp when the cutest little girl with big brown eyes and curly brown hair came up to us and wanted to sit at our table. Her mum and baby sister came along to, and we got to talking about names over hot chocolate ;)
Lior (7 months)
Shola ? (3 yrs, no idea of the spelling. Mum said it was short for a hebrew term that basically means Shalom, or peace. This is what it sounded like- Shoh-la)
Anyway, Shola was really sweet and polite, and I thought it was a great set, very spunky. WDYT?

and I'm really curious about "Shola" now because I like the sound. I agree, it's a fun sibset.

Interesting to see Lior on a girl...Liora is much more common. I really like Liora (g) and Lior (boy).
I'll bet that Shola comes from "sholom/sholem", the Yiddish version of shalom. There's a famous Yiddish writer named Sholem Aleichem, who wrote the book on which Fiddler on the Roof was based. I haven't heard of Shola being used as a name before, but I like it.
