All I see when I see the name is Lebensborn and Lesbian. I used to love the name though, but I can't picture using it because of those associations.
I think Liesl works for Leisbeth, although I prefer Liesel or Lottie for Lieselotte. I don't think you would need Dutch background, I think German is sufficient. But then again, I am German and not Dutch!
