[Opinions] I love her to death, but quite possibly the worst twinset I've ever heard ...
A dear, dear friend of mine found out not long ago that she was pregnant. She doesn't know the gender, but fancies the idea that she's having twin girls ... which is fine, I've always wanted twins too.
If she has one girl, she's planning on the name Emily Johanna ... which is fine (if a little bland). I dislike the fact that she wants to call the baby Emma-Joe ... but at least she's not straight out naming the baby that! If she has boy/girl twins, the girl will be Emily Johanna. She has no name picked out for a boy ... I think she's going to let the father pick a boys name.If she has twin girls (which she is absolutley determined she's having because of the kind of cravings she's had ...) they will be Lily Rose and Rose Lily (first and middle names, not two first names). Not only is it cutesy and matchy, but she's not even bothering to give each little girl their own name! What do you think?

I don't really like Emily Johanna, but its much better that Lily Rose and Rose Lily. Lily and Rose would be cute, I actually like it, but they need different middle names. At least its not double first names, Lily-Rose and Rose-Lily

That's bad, it reminds me of a story that my friend and I wrote in fourth-seventh grades that had main characters who were twins named Alexa Samantha Johnson an Samantha Alexa Johnson.

Here's hoping like hell they're both boysand I have to say I would not be able to keep my mouth shut. If it were me, I would absolutely tell my friend that I think it's criminal to do that to innocent babies. I can see myself seriously getting quite peeved over it.

Lily Rose is nice.

At least they would be spelt right...hey, you need to look at the positives! :pHere is to hoping it isn't twin girls!

Oh my! That is one of the worse sibsets ever! PLEASE try to talk her out of it! Use the ol' "They won't have any individuality" ploy, try anything! Even other flower names (like Violet Lily and Daisy Rose) would be better! AAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHH!

how very classy. Not. Like some backwards hillbilly woman who has no way to know in advance that she's having twins, so when two are born she's completely stuck for a second name. Yuci. What's so wrong with naming the second twin Emily Johanna?

I actually like Emily Johanna/Emma-Jo. But when I read Lily Rose and Rose Lily, I gasped. You're right, they do need t heir own names.

That's bad, but I still prefer it to matching twin names such as Britney and Whitney, etc.

ditto. and they're spelled right. After all, mn's aren't Common knowledge most of the time anyway.

Uhm, what??The only thing I can think of in response to that is, does this woman think she is in fairyland or something? They sound like two fairys who have glitter implanted into thier skinLIKE WHAT THE HECK MAN??

Cheee-zey. Blech.Seriously, ditto the person who said a twin is not a xerox of her sister. Twins have enough issues with identity imo. They deserve their own individual names.

I don't actually mind it, I guess it gives them a link. But then I come from a family where my sisters and I all have the same middle name, so I guess I am used to the name sharing thing!S xx

Well, the individual names are very nice. She has good taste. But does she realize that there are two individual girls here, and not the same one xeroxed?Seriously, she needs to rethink this one. Emily Johanna is lovely. Emily Johanna and Rose _______ would make beautiful names for two girls. (Emily and Lily as sisters are a little too similar for my ears.)Let's see if we can distract her with other mns for Rose or Lily:Rose Olivia
Rose Elizabeth
Rose Elena
Rose Isabella
Rose Evelyn
Rose Madeleine ("MAD-uh-lin")
Rose Genevieve
Rose Arabella
Rose Estella
Rose MargueriteLily Sophia
Lily Charlotte
Lily Estelle
Lily Katherine (nn Lily-Kate?)
Lily Josephine
Lily Grace
Lily CarolineI'd like to hear how this one progresses, if you don't mind, please. Thanks.

I like Emily Joanna nn Emma Joe and Lily Kathrine nn Lily Kate that's cute. Emily and Lily are to similar for twins though. I don't mind if the cutesy nicknames are similar but the names shouldn't be.

I used to want to do that if I had twins - fn of one would be mn of the other, and vice versa. But I was 12.

Lol.

Ah. Well, Lily and Rose would be okay (borderline, because they are both flowers), but I like them together. But not with the mns!

I think Emily Johanna is a lovely combo! Emma-Joe is nms though. Lily Rose and Rose Lily is terribly mean and not thought out, sorry. I almost can't believe it. Maybe you could convince her to do Emily Johanna and Lillian Rose or something like that if she does have twins? I think those combos could g owell.

Please hope it's the hormones talking!!

That's AWFUL

Here's hoping she either comes to her senses, or does not have twins.
Naming one Lily and the other Rose would be miles better, though still not ideal.Emily Johanna is lovely, though Emily is too popular for me.
