Well it's got rid of the masculine 'mac' but surely it just another form of Kenneth now? :) (Mackenzie - son of Kenneth, remove the 'son of part (Mac) leaves you with just Kenzie (Kenneth)?)
Other than that, yes it's 'cute' but 'cute' doesn't last. You don't need a name that is 'cute', you need one that will do for 60 years +.
So, IMO, way too cutesy and won't age well.
