bay-zul is kind of cheesy, like Cinnamon or Saffron, but if that's your favorite pronounciation go for it.
I like it with more well-established (or masculine) names:
Basil Henry
Basil Gregory
Basil Theodore
Basil Nathaniel
Basil Vincent
Basil Patrick
Basil Solomon (don't really know why I like that)
